Inventory Manager

Location: Greensboro, NC

Position Summary:

Manages the accuracy and timeliness of on-hand inventory levels for all locations. Has staff responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Imports and integrates all sales data to update inventory levels.

•Approves all batches entered for inventory adjustments and transfers.

•Assigns code set-up instructions for new products and modifications to existing products.

•Researches and identifies potential issues and collaborates with appropriate parties for effective resolution.

•Creates and maintains kits and Bills of Material.

•Identifies any discrepancies and determines reasons and proper resolutions for weekly cycle count results.

•Collaborates with Purchasing to advise on any inventory-related issues and subsequent impact.

•Prepares expected shipment reports for the Receiving Department and other necessary parties.

•Oversees the annual physical inventory process to resolve discrepancies and to reconcile year-end inventory.

•Prepares invoice spreadsheets for shipments and submits to Accounting.

•Performs expiration analysis and prepares expiring inventory reports for all necessary parties.

•Collaborates with Quality Control and Receiving Departments to maintain product quarantines and issues of expiration dates.

•Prepares departmental budget and ensures compliance to approved budget.

•Complies with company policies and procedures.

•Performs other duties as needed.

Primary Contacts: (outside dept.)

•Accounting, Purchasing, Distribution, Mall Management, and manufacturing partners.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

•Approves hiring, firing, absences, overtime, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, and skill development. Recommends salary changes for approval.

Education and Experience:

•Bachelors degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related field.

•Three to five years of experience in inventory control, accounting, or purchasing.

•Or combination of equivalent experience, education, and training.

Skills:

•Proficient use of MS Office Products and MS Dynamics or other ERP systems. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other computer software applications.

•High levels of English reading, writing, and speaking; active listening, mathematics, critical thinking, service orientation, complex problem solving, troubleshooting, attention to detail, and judgment and decision-making.

Working Conditions and Environment:

•Intermittently lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.

•Continuously see, sit, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.

•Frequently hear and talk.

•Occasionally walk on level and uneven surfaces.

•Intermittently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs and ladders, operate foot and hand controls, reach above shoulders, and squeeze.

•Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked material, electrical equipment, machinery, low noise levels, and mild indoor temperatures of heat and cold.

•Long or odd hours, as needed.
