Position Summary:
Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives and stocks all incoming products and items.
- Receives and delivers UPS and FedEx to consignees at MA Corporate Offices.
- All damages written up daily in the damage log.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Verifies accuracy and condition of incoming shipment.
- Selects samples for QC and delivers samples to QC.
- Correctly prepares receiving electronic documentation via WMS Handheld Device.
- Inspects designated items to ensure quality standards.
- Relocates stock to ensure proper product rotation.
- Performs weekly cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts.
- Completes weekly packaging inventory counts.
- Operates forklift in an efficient and safe manner and performs general maintenance.
- Performs general cleaning duties, such as sweeping.
- Complies with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other warehouse duties as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Education and Experience:
- High School Education or GED
- Six months of forklift experience and cycle counting.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Skills:
- Strong levels of English reading, writing, speaking; active listening; and mathematics.
- Proficient operations of forklift.
- Strong PC Skills, Microsoft Word, Excel
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong Attention to Detail
Work Conditions and Environment:
- Continuously see, stand, and have balance.
- Frequently lift, carry, pull, and push up to 10 pounds; occasionally, up to 30 pounds; intermittently; up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently walk on level surfaces, twist, grasp, operate hand controls, reach above shoulders, and have repetitive use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Occasionally hear, talk, crouch, and stoop/bend.
- Intermittently sit, kneel, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and ladders, operate foot controls, and squeeze.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, chemicals, flammables, stacked materials, electrical equipment and machinery, and high places.
- Exposure to medium noise levels and mild indoor temperatures of hot and cold.
- Occasional long or odd hours.
